Quality

Sika Liquid Plastic is applied in two coats, one embedment coat to reinforce the Sika Reemat Premium uses chopped strand glass fibre matting to increase the ease of application, while the second top coat ensures quality and consistency in application. Only made better by the BBA (certification number 16/5294) and ETA (CE Marked) accreditation.

Safety

The Sika Liquid Plastic excels at safety, being a liquid membrane means no naked flames or heat are required during application, removing the risk of fire related accidents during its installation. Furthermore, after application the liquid membrane achieves a high fire proofing rating in accordance with BS476: Part 3: 2004 and EN1187: Test 4.

Durability

Based on Polymethl Methacrylate technology and used a Polyester reinforced fleece, Sika Liquid Plastic is a highly durable option for flat roofing, with its seamless application actively preventing joint failure. In addition, Sika Liquid Plastic is suitable for walkways and stairs, despite its fast curing and application, showing durability even under the heavy load of foot traffic.

Flexibility

Bein a liquid membrane, Sika Liquid Plastic is ideal for complicated roof shapes and even offers an option to seal asbestos roofs, greatly reducing the risk of asbestos fibres being released into the air. Additionally, the locally reinforced coating can cope with thermal movement with the roof without flaking or splitting.

Ideal for Unique Roofs

Sikalastic PU is a seamless coating that provides guaranteed waterproof protection as well as an aesthetically pleasing finish for metal profiled roofs. As well as being a lightweight coating which removes the need to overclad roofs, meaning disruption to the building below is minimised at a low cost. As well as being ideal for the aforementioned asbestos roofs which would normally require tightly controlled disposal, an alternative is sealing with Sika Liquid Plastic, which reduces the quantity of fibres released into the air to improve the health of building occupants.
